A Pastoral Letter to Philip North.jpgA pastoral letter to Rt Revd Philip North (Bishop of Burnley and [until 9th March the nominee for the See of Sheffield, due for election on 25th April 2017]) has been prepared for people from the Diocese of Sheffield to sign. Signatories will not be made public, but the names shared with Bishop Philip.

It has been written for those who wish to express their pastoral concern, directly, about the reaction that has resulted from the nomination announcement. It also asks for further conversation with the Bishop of Burnley to further mutual understanding.

The letter asks that Bishop Philip takes note of the number of people signing the letter (names are not being published, but simply shared with Bishop Philip).
